Patrick Seaux is a master violin maker since 1980.
He attended the International Violin Making School of Cremona, under the guidance of masters Giobatta
Morassi and Giorgio Scolari, from 1976 and he graduated in 1980.
For several years he worked in Cremona, in his own workshop, to acquire a deeper knowledge of stringed
instruments construction, then he moved to Rome (1991-1997) , and is currently settled in Padua from
1998.
Up to date he has built more then 250 instruments (violins, altos and cellos) of the finest quality, inspired by
classic Cremonese and Italian school of violin making.
Patrick Seaux took part in different exhibitions and competitions of violin making.
He won the 1st price – violin at the “Jacobus Steiner – Freiburg competition 2004”
His instruments are sold in Italy, France, Austria, Canada, Germany Japan etc. and played by members of
famous orchestra (Berliner Filarmonicher, Mozarteums of Salzburg, Orchestra della Scala – Milano,
Orchestra di Santa Cecilia – Roma)
Each instrument is entirely hand-made by the author with a particular attention to the sound and to
esthetic.
He chooses the best wood and he also create his own colours and pigments and varnish starting from
basic organic product as in the old tradition
He undertake a limited number of commissions for quality instruments .

1980年クレモナバイオリン製作学校を卒業。同期にプリモ・ピストーニ氏、マルチェロ・ヴィッラ氏。
弦楽器製作をGiobatta Morassi氏、Giorgio Scolari氏に師事した後にCremonaに自身の工房を設け独立。1991年よりRomeへ工房を移し、1998年からはPadovaへ移し、おもにプロフェッショナル・プレーヤー向けの弦楽器製作を行っている。これまでの製作本数はバイオリン・ヴィオラ・チェロを含め250本以上に及ぶ。自身のWEBSITEを持たず、さらに宣伝プロモーションや広告活動を一切嫌うことから、この名匠の存在を知るのはごく僅かな音楽家のみとなっている。
2004年ドイツ：フライブルグで開催された「ヤコブ・スタイナー弦楽器製作コンペティション」ヴァイオリン部門においてゴールド・メダルを獲得。
彼の作品は、イタリア・フランス・ドイツ・オーストリア・カナダなどで人気を博している。一流オーケストラプレーヤーの使用も数多く、ベルリン・フィルハーモニー・オーケストラ、カメラータ・ザルツブルグ、ミラノ・スカラ座フィルハーモニー管弦楽団、ローマ聖チェチーリア音楽院管弦楽団などの有名オーケストラのメンバーが彼の作品を愛用しております。
日本への入荷は本人の意向でしばらくの間ストップさせており、今回、久しぶりの国内入荷となりました。
