Modal Electronicsが、8ヴォイス・バーチャルアナログ・シンセサイザーの新ラインナップ「COBALTシリーズ」を発売します。「COBALT8（37鍵）」、「COBALT8X（61鍵）」「COBALT8M（モジュール）」の3ラインアップ。

COBALTシリーズは64のバーチャル・アナログオシレーターを搭載した最大8音ポリフォニックのシンセ。4ポールのモーファブルラダーフィルターを搭載。最大4つのオシレーターを備えた2つの独立したオシレーターグループは、同期、リングモジュレーション、波形モーフィングなどの34の独自の複雑なアルゴリズムを使用して、新世代のシンセサウンドを生み出します。

各アルゴリズムには、特定のアルゴリズムまたはキャラクターに合わせて選択されたコントロールのペアがあり、複雑なオシレーター変調を生み出します。

512音のリアルタイム/ステップシーケンサーを搭載。ポリフォニック64ノートステップシーケンサーモードでは、ノートとアニメーションの値を簡単にステップ入力できます。さらに強力なオンボードアルペジエーター（最大32ステップでプログラム可能）およびコードホールド、インバージョン、トランスポーズ、サステインラッチなどのパフォーマンス機能と組み合わせた複数のシーケンサートリガーモードを備えています。

MODALapp（macOS、Windows、iOS、iPadOS、Androidのスタンドアロンアプリ、VST3/AUプラグイン対応）によりCOBALTの全パラメーターをコントロール、そしてライブラリー管理が行えます。
